Can’t set the dynamic range to 400 it’s grayed out. Can only go to 100

    1. admin says:

You need to set your ISO to min 640 and like that you can have the DR400

      1. Malachi says:

It won’t allow me to set my clarity

      2. Ulfah Alifah Yuliarso says:

but, the result of my photo become too bright (ss 4000, iso 640, dr 400) so I changed the iso to the lowest level around 80 with SS 4000 and DR 100, then it end up perfect

    2. Roberto says:

You have to set minimum iso at 640 if you want the option DR 200 or 400

    3. Stefan Briggs says:

Try setting your focus to manual – that unlocks the DR 400 setting.

    4. Serje says:

      Raise iso

    5. Jaaimejr@gmail.com says:

Set ISO first to what it says in the recipe

    6. Alex S says:

go back to shooting mode and raise the ISO, I think DR400 has a min ISO of 640 or something around there. when you go back to the settings the DR will not be greyed out

    7. Beto says:

      Deixa seu iso em 640

    8. Chandrasekhar Velayudhan says:

Set a higher ISO at least 640 or 800 i think

    9. Misiek says:

      Wyjdź powyżej ISO 800. Pozdro

    10. Glenn Delveaux says:

Higher the iso to 500 min

  2. igor says:

set iso min 640 for DR400

Something similar for an xpro 2 without Classic negative film simulation?

    1. admin says:

      Film Simulation: Classic Negative
Dynamic Range: DR400 (necessário ISO 640 ou superior)
      Grain Effect: Strong, Large
      Color Chrome Effect: Strong

      Color: +4
      Sharpness: 0
      High ISO NR: -4

      Use this configs

      Film Simulation: Classic Negative
      Dynamic Range: DR400
      Grain Effect: Strong, Large
      Color Chrome Effect: Strong
White Balance: Auto, Red +4, Blue -5
      Highlight: -2

      Color: +4
      Sharpness: 0
      High ISO NR: -4

      1. Adriano says:

I assume I can use Classic Chrome instead of Classic Negative? on my Xt-2 there is no Classic negative

  5. Jerry says:

There is a noticeable delay in shooting with this recipe. This is caused by the clarity setting of -4. Those it hurt to have the clarity on zero? And is it correct that there is no exposure compensation needed?

    1. Rick says:

You can always adjust the clarity afterward if you shoot RAW.

      1. Keyser says:

Why use a recipe when u want to shot raw?

  6. Isaac says:

    I have several questions.
But mainly, how do you know what recipes are compatible with your camera?
I have an xt4 and I don’t see this simulation on the app, plus the ones I like, it says they are only compatible with xt5 I feel is a marketing strategy to make you upgrade.

Can someone explain me this part.

  7. Jose Prendin says:

Do you know if this recipe works with X-T50?

    1. Rick says:

Yes, this recipe was designed for that sensor.

  8. Victor Loobuyck says:

what do you set the exposure composition dial at? Lots of recipes are between +1/3 and +1. Leave this one at 0?

  9. Darren says:

do you use -4 clarity if you are using a 1/4 black pro mist filter

    1. Rick says:

I would adjust it accordingly. Also, I’d love to see an example of this recipe with that filter.

  11. DavShootsJPG says:

How can I apply this to an older X trans ii sensor?

  12. Aske Nielsen says:

Do you know to get same feeling on your x100s camera? Because Many of the settings is not available.

  13. Lucy Coupland says:

For which cameras does this work? I’m asking as most of the settings are not available on my X100 original

  14. Malachi says:

It won’t allow me to set my clarity
